Volunteering

All families are required to volunteer to work the Concession Stands. This allows for the program to keep hockey at a low cost to families.

Fundraising

Each year families are asked to sell $400 dollars' worth of raffle tickets for the end of year drawing. This helps keep hockey costs low for families. Full participation and cooperation IS required from players and parents/guardians. If you do not participate in any fundraising that is required through Rec Hockey, there will be an assessment to your next participation year for monies not raised.

Equipment Rental

Rec Hockey provides all first year skaters with rental equipment at no charge. This excludes Sticks and Skates.

Skates can be rented at The Sports Shop.

If you have a skater that is not a first year player but is in need of equipment, please reach out to a board member and we will help find avenues to get equipment at a lower cost and quite possibly at no cost depending on equipment.

Financial Assistance

If you have or know of a child that is unable to play hockey due to financial hardships, please reach out to the board of directors. There may be avenues (grants, financial assistance) available to ensure kids are able to enjoy the sport of hockey.
