Volunteer Requirements - Families
All IFYHA families are required to actively volunteer and support your child's team(s).
All work required for home tournaments, home games, and practices must be performed by volunteers from the child's team. Team Managers will work closely with all families coordinating the fillings of required volunteer slots for all events each team participates in.
All families are also required to complete hours during the 2025-26 season (maximum of 24 hrs per family):
Mini Mite - 8 hours
Mighty Mite thru Bantam - 12 hours
8u Girls thru 12u Girls - 12 hours
Hours can be fulfilled by working non-team specific events and roles, such as Concession Stand, Men's Hockey Tournament, The Ice Show, IFBC Bass Tournament, and off season arena work. You will sign-up on the Website through your Crossbar Account. Unworked hours will cost you $25 per hour.
We will require a post dated check for the concessions hours amount due to be collected at a group meeting prior to the season starting. The check will be returned once the hours are completed.
IMPORTANT
Any outstanding balances for unfulfilled volunteer hours (DIBS) or unpaid registration fees from the season will be added to your account after you register and charged to your card on file. If you have an outstanding balance that you believe is in error or would like to establish a payment plan please contact xxxx@ifalls.org.
If you are short volunteer hours at the completion of the season your card on file will be charged May 1 at the rate of $ xx /hour for any hours that you did not fulfill or buy-out at the beginning of the season. You will be unable to register your player for the following season without paying all outstanding balances.
How to Volunteer
On Desktop
a. Click on ACCOUNT in the upper left part of the page header

On Mobile
a. Drop down the "hamburger menu" with four lines on the upper left and select ACCOUNT
b. Select the down arrow to bring down your personal menu
c. Select VOLUNTEER
d. Here you will see all of the available sessions. You will also find a summary at the top of the page showing your status of required, completed and committed hours. To sign up for a shift choose MORE INFORMATION on the specific session and to jump in to the session and available volunteer shifts.
e. For the shift you wish to choose click on the GREEN + button
f. This will allow you to choose which user in your account you would like to assign
To cancel your assignment to that shift, you can choose the RED icon.
Locked Out ?
If you are within the window of time set by OYHA where you are unable to cancel your shift assignment, you'll see a lock icon instead, indicating that you'll need to get in touch with the volunteer coordinator to be removed from the shift:
