Steps to Become an on-ice Helper

A. Register as a volunteer on USA Hockey - no fee - Select Manager/Volunteer

B. Complete the NCSI Background Screening ($30 fee every 2 years)

C. Complete the USA Hockey Online Safesport No Fee- training prior to the start of the season. You must complete SafeSport training every 12 months. The certification cycle features an initial core course followed by three shorter annual refresher courses. After the third refresher, you will be directed to retake the full core)additional season.

D. Volunteer Info Form - complete this form - have your USA Hockey Registration number available

Note: On-ice helpers need to complete all of the above steps before stepping onto the ice. On-ice helpers cannot be in the players box at any time during games.
