
Director of Hockey Operations Announcement
We are excited to announce that David Eddy has been appointed as the new Director of Hockey Operations for the International Falls Recreation Hockey Association.
Previously, David served as the Director of Hockey Operations for Goldrush in Lake Forest, CA, where he made significant contributions to player development and program success. A native of Lake Forest, David began his hockey journey in the local community before moving to Minnesota, where he excelled in high school hockey and made two appearances in the Minnesota state tournament. He then advanced to the USHL, where he earned a spot on the All-Rookie team, followed by three years competing at the NCAA Division-1 level with St. Cloud State. After forgoing his senior season, David signed an entry-level NHL contract with the Calgary Flames and transitioned into a professional hockey career.
Following four years of professional play, David decided to embark on a coaching path in Minnesota, where he spent two years coaching before returning to California to continue his coaching journey. With over 15 years of coaching experience, David has played a vital role in nurturing youth players at both the club and high school levels. During his five seasons at Goldrush, he led the 2011 AAA team, which was recognized as a top-15 team in the United States.
David has coached numerous summer hockey camps including being Lead Instructor of the Hustle and Heart Hockey camp here in International Falls the past 3 years. Most recently, David was the head coach of the Peewee AA team and Assistant Coach to the Varsity team out of Woodbury, MN.
David’s expertise and commitment to the sport have not gone unnoticed, and we are confident that his passion for hockey and dedication to player development will significantly enhance our program. In his new role as the Director of Hockey Operations, David will oversee the development and skill advancement of players at all levels
